I believe these councils can have an energizing effect on Detroit; not only do they give citizens and community leaders a direct opportunity to engage with their local government but they can act as a conduit for which City Council members can leverage day to day concerns of their constituency. I urge you to help the citizens of Detroit understand the importance of Community Advisory Councils by explaining the process by which they are petitioned and created, offer help and advice when needed and write the required ordinance in a timely manner to establish a CAC in every district across this great City.
